Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud

Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud is a Saudi royal and public official who has served as Governor of Riyadh Province since 29 January 2015. He is the son of Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the former long-serving Saudi ambassador to the United States, and Princess Haifa bint Faisal, a daughter of King Faisal, making him a grandson on his father's side of the late Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz. The Riyadh governorate is a senior, ministerial-rank public office responsible for the Saudi capital region.

As governor, Prince Faisal chairs the Riyadh Development Authority and the associated high commission for the development of the capital, giving him a leading role in the city's large-scale infrastructure and quality-of-life programmes. His tenure has coincided with Riyadh's emergence as a hub for major international events and Saudi Arabia's economic diversification drive.

Prince Faisal has also been a prominent royal figure in Saudi sports administration. He served as President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation from around 2016 to 2018 and has since been closely associated with the kingdom's state-backed esports sector as Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation. In that capacity he has represented Saudi Arabia in international esports bodies and at Riyadh-based events and projects.

In the betting and gaming regulatory context, Prince Faisal is not a gambling-industry operator or licensee. Saudi Arabia maintains a blanket prohibition on gambling, and his relevance is on the sports-governance side: federation-level integrity controls around football and esports, including anti-match-fixing and unlicensed betting risks, fall within the ecosystem he oversees.
