Prof. Pieris Chourides

Prof. Pieris Chourides is the Chairman of the Board (President) of the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission, the national regulator for casino and gaming activities in Cyprus. Concurrently, he serves as Dean of the School of Business Administration at European University Cyprus and Professor of Knowledge and Quality Management.

He holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, an MSc in Strategic Management, and a PhD in Knowledge Management, all from the University of Derby. His research focuses on knowledge management best practices, strategic management, project management, and quality management. He leads cooperation between the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (University of Cambridge Judge Business School) and European University Cyprus across the Euro-Mediterranean and MENA regions.

Earlier in his career, he was Head of the Research and Strategic Planning Department at the Cyprus Employers and Industrialist Federation (OEB), Lecturer in Knowledge and Strategic Management at De Montfort University, and Visiting Lecturer in Management Information Systems and Knowledge Management at Swiss Management University. He has also conducted consultancy and research collaborations with automotive and aerospace organizations. Prof. Chourides is an assessor for the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model and a reviewer for several academic journals.
