Robert Kyncl is an American business executive who has served as Chief Executive Officer of Warner Music Group since January 1, 2023. In this role, he leads one of the world's three major music labels, focusing on streaming innovation, artificial intelligence, artist partnerships, and technology-driven growth. He is responsible for the company's global strategy and operations.

Prior to joining Warner Music Group, Kyncl spent over a decade at YouTube as Chief Business Officer, where he oversaw content, sales, marketing, platforms, and partnerships. During his tenure, he helped scale YouTube into the world's largest video platform and navigated the company through the rise of creator economy and music licensing. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years at Netflix, playing a key role in its transformation from a DVD-by-mail service to a global streaming powerhouse.

Kyncl began his career in the mailroom of a Los Angeles talent agency, J. Michael Bloom & Associates, and later worked at HBO International. He holds a BA in International Relations from SUNY New Paltz (1995) and an MBA from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business (1997). Born in communist Czechoslovakia in 1970, he immigrated to the United States in 1992. He is the co-author of Streampunks: YouTube and the Rebels Remaking Media and has been recognized on Variety's Dealmakers Impact Report, Vanity Fair's New Establishment List, and Billboard's Power 100.
