Sean Coleman

Sean Coleman is a dual-role leader in the South African gambling industry, serving as CEO of the South African Bookmakers' Association (SABA) – the leading trade association for licensed bookmakers – and as Managing Director of Betdata and Betdata International, which provide audio-visual and betting data products. He brings over 20 years of regulatory experience from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and the former KZN Bookmakers' Control Committee, combined with 14 years of direct experience in the bookmaking sector.

Recognizing a need for industry skills advancement, Coleman founded the SABA Training and Development Academy in 2018, which continues to deliver training and education to gambling industry professionals. His extensive regulatory background and well-established industry relationships enable him to drive both SABA and Betdata, with a stated goal of disrupting the status quo.
