
Simo Dragicevic
Co‑founder of AiR Hub (UNLV International Gaming Institute)
Simo Dragicevic is the Co‑founder of AiR Hub, the gambling industry's first dedicated AI research lab, based at the UNLV International Gaming Institute. The lab launched in 2025 and produces the annual State of AI in Gaming report in collaboration with KPMG.
He founded BetBuddy in 2010, a pioneer in applying artificial intelligence to gambling. BetBuddy was acquired by Playtech in 2017, after which he served as Managing Director and Head of AI at Playtech. He has also served on the boards of the Great Britain Gambling Commission and the Responsible Gambling Council.
Earlier in his career, Simo was Director of Major Programmes at Barclays Plc and began his professional journey at Accenture. His experience spans technology entrepreneurship, major programme delivery, and regulatory governance within the gambling sector.
