Stefano Sbordoni is Founder and Managing Partner of Sbordoni&Partners, a leading Italian law firm specializing in public gaming and betting law. He is a Court of Cassation lawyer (Supreme Court attorney) registered with the Bar Association of Rome and is widely recognized as one of the foremost experts in Italian and international gaming law.

He currently teaches Gaming Tax Legislation at the Department of Political, Social, and Communication Sciences at the University of Salerno and has lectured at the School of Economics and Finance as well as at the University of Malta for public concessionaires. Sbordoni advises the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) on administrative law matters related to gaming and betting and serves as a consultant to major Italian and international gaming operators.

Over his multi‑year career, he played a key role in the introduction of bingo in Italy, the reorganisation of the gaming licensing sector (including public tenders), the privatisation of instant and traditional lotteries, and the marketing of games and lottery networks in more than 40 countries. He is also an expert in reinsurance law, having been responsible for underwriting the aeronautical branch and the Treaties & Excess of Loss sector for leading international reinsurance companies, and managed the Italian Portfolio and Contractual Dispute Service in Italy and the UK.

Sbordoni is a regular speaker at major gaming conferences worldwide, a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), General Secretary of UTIS (Italian Sports Totoricevitori Italiani Sportivi Union), and a freelance journalist contributing to industry publications such as Chambers Gaming Law and Advennt.
