Steven Jacobs

Steven Jacobs served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sands China Ltd., the Macau-based subsidiary of Las Vegas Sands Corp., until his termination in 2010. He was responsible for leading the company’s China operations and overseeing its growth in the Macau casino market.

Following his ouster, Jacobs filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Las Vegas Sands and its chairman Sheldon Adelson, alleging he was fired for blowing the whistle on improprieties and placing the interests of shareholders above those of Adelson. The litigation involved claims related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the unsealing of the Vickers Reports, which allegedly documented ties between Sands and Macau organized crime. The case was settled confidentially in May 2016.

No current professional role or affiliation has been publicly documented since the settlement. Jacobs’ legal battle drew significant attention to corporate governance issues and whistleblower protections within the gaming industry.
