Susan Breen is a Partner at Mishcon de Reya LLP and leads the firm’s top‑ranked Betting & Gaming group within the Innovation Department. Based in London, she has over 20 years’ experience advising gambling industry clients on corporate, M&A, regulatory and commercial matters.

Her practice spans both corporate and regulatory law, blending corporate knowledge with compliance, infrastructure and regulatory advice for leading operators, service providers and business owners in the UK and internationally. Much of her work is cross‑border, particularly helping clients buy or build businesses in increasingly complex legal, regulatory and tax environments.

She has been involved in many of the sector’s high‑profile and innovative transactions over the last two decades, including advising the HM Government of Gibraltar on a judicial review challenge to the UK’s point of consumption licensing regime, Gamesys Group on its acquisition of the Jackpotjoy brands, Catena Media on several acquisitions, and SportPesa on establishment and sponsorship arrangements.

Susan is regarded as a pre‑eminent lawyer in the betting and gaming sector by Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, and serves on the Executive Committee of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL). Clients include significant operators, regulators, governments, affiliate marketing groups, game content and technology providers.
