Szabolcs Ágostházy

Szabolcs Ágostházy is currently the Stratégiai és működésfejlesztési vezető (Head of Strategy and Operations Development) at Szerencsejáték Zrt., Hungary's national lottery and gambling operator. He concurrently serves as State Secretary for European Union‑funded Developments at the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development, a senior government position overseeing the allocation and implementation of EU development funds.

In his government capacity, Ágostházy has been responsible for managing EU recovery plans and public administration reforms since at least 2022, previously holding similar roles within the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry for Innovation and Technology. He regularly speaks at conferences on EU funding and public administration.

Prior to his current corporate role, Ágostházy served as a board member of Szerencsejáték Zrt., a position he held until his removal in July 2026. His career bridges public sector leadership and corporate strategy within Hungary’s state-owned gaming enterprise.
