Tony Hawk

Anthony Frank Hawk (born May 12, 1968, San Diego, CA) is an American professional skateboarder turned entrepreneur and philanthropist. He turned pro at 14 and became a dominant vert skateboarder, landing the first documented '900' at the 1999 X Games. He retired from professional competition in 2003 but remains an iconic figure in action sports. His namesake video game series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, launched in 1999, became one of the best-selling sports franchises.

Beyond skateboarding, Hawk founded Birdhouse Skateboards in 1992, Tony Hawk, Inc. in 2000, and the Tony Hawk Foundation (now The Skatepark Project) in 2002, which has funded over 600 public skateparks. He continues to serve as Founder & CEO of his own enterprises, overseeing brand partnerships, licensing, and charitable initiatives.

In the iGaming sphere, Hawk served as a brand ambassador for DraftKings in 2022, fronting their 'Practice Safe Bets' responsible gambling campaign. In 2024, he was a keynote speaker at the SBC Summit, one of the largest global iGaming conferences. Though not employed by an iGaming company in a full-time capacity, his involvement bridges his mainstream celebrity with the gaming industry's marketing and events.
