Jamul Casino Resort is a AAA Four Diamond gaming and hospitality destination owned and operated by the Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (JIVDC) on the tribe's six-acre reservation in Jamul, California, roughly 20 miles east of downtown San Diego. Originally opened in October 2016 as a $430 million casino, the property completed a $515 million expansion in August 2025 that added a 16-story, 200-room luxury hotel tower, a 25,500-square-foot event center, and a parking structure, prompting a rebranding to Jamul Casino Resort. The resort features nearly 1,700 slot machines, over 50 live table games, a poker room, seven dining venues including a lobster buffet, a rooftop pool with DJ-hosted Sunday parties, a full-service spa and salon, and a 10,000-square-foot rooftop event space. It employs more than 1,500 people and operates the Sweetwater Rewards loyalty program. As the closest casino resort to downtown San Diego, it has won the San Diego Union-Tribune's 'San Diego's Best' award annually since 2017 and contributed over $100,000 to local organizations in 2025–2026.

History
The Jamul Indian Village signed a gaming compact with California in the 1990s, but legal and regulatory hurdles delayed construction until January 2015. The casino opened on October 10, 2016, initially branded as Hollywood Casino Jamul-San Diego under a partnership with Penn National Gaming. In March 2018, the tribe ended that partnership, took over self-management, and rebranded the property as Jamul Casino. Under President and General Manager Mary Cheeks, a major expansion began in the early 2020s, adding a boutique hotel tower, event center, and parking garage. The $515 million project was financed through a refinancing of $425 million in tribal bonds and culminated in the August 2025 opening of the hotel and the full resort rebranding.

Today, Jamul Casino Resort offers a 200,000-square-foot casino floor with nearly 1,700 slot machines including Hot Drop Jackpots, 46 to 50+ live table games, a 10-table poker room, and three high-limit rooms. The 200-room hotel features Mountain View, Panoramic, Sunset, and Sunrise suites, all equipped with walk-in showers, dual sinks, large-screen TVs, and smart-room controls via DigiValet tablets and Amazon Alexa. The Starlite Pool on the rooftop hosts Sunday pool parties with live DJs. The resort also includes a full-service spa and salon (Jamul Spa), a fitness center, and a 10,000-square-foot rooftop venue for weddings and corporate events (The Rooftop). A 25,500-square-foot event center connected to the hotel by a sky bridge hosts concerts, conferences, and banquets.
