Jamul Casino Resort promoted Kimberly Miranda from Director of Finance to Vice President of Finance, leveraging her 25-plus years of experience in gaming and hospitality to oversee financial operations and strategic growth. Miranda, who joined the resort in September 2025, previously held senior finance roles at Cliff Castle Casino Hotel and Enchantment Resort.
Jamul Casino Resort has elevated Kimberly Miranda from Director of Finance to Vice President of Finance, placing her in charge of the property's financial strategy as it aims for long-term expansion and operational improvements. Miranda first joined the California resort in September 2025.
With over 25 years of financial leadership across gaming and hospitality, Miranda brings deep knowledge in Tribal gaming compliance, capital planning, and enterprise financial systems. Her new responsibilities include directing the resort's fiscal performance, boosting efficiency, and guiding strategic growth.
“Kimberly is an exceptional financial leader whose expertise, integrity, and strategic mindset have already made a tremendous impact,” said Mary Cheeks, President and General Manager. Cheeks highlighted Miranda's ability to modernize operations, build strong teams, and provide strategic guidance, adding that her Tribal gaming and capital planning experience makes her “the ideal leader” for continued success.
Prior to Jamul, Miranda served as Associate Director of Finance at Enchantment Resort and Mii amo Spa in Arizona, and spent over 13 years at Cliff Castle Casino Hotel in Arizona, where she rose from Controller to Director of Finance. At Cliff Castle, she managed a hotel expansion, moved to cloud accounting, implemented Bank Secrecy Act and Title 31 compliance, and navigated COVID-19 financial challenges including securing relief funds and renegotiating debt.
Her work on Tribal compact financial reports was cited by the Arizona State Gaming Agency as a model for other Tribal operators. Since arriving at Jamul, Miranda has supported the resort's growth after its hotel expansion and contributed to efforts that earned AAA Four Diamond status and stronger guest loyalty.
“Being a part of the Jamul Casino Resort team has allowed me the opportunity to contribute to an organization with a strong foundation and an exciting future,” Miranda said. She added that she looks forward to working “alongside the leadership team to build on that momentum through sound financial strategy.”
