History & Founding

Mazooma Interactive Games was formally incorporated in the United Kingdom on 12 July 2012. The company’s initial focus was on the land-based gaming industry, developing video poker devices, slot machines, and related casino software. Over time, it expanded its expertise to include digital content for internet and mobile markets, both domestically and internationally. Some industry sources state the company was “launched over 15 years ago” (circa 2005), though the official incorporation date suggests the legal entity was created later. This discrepancy may indicate that the Mazooma brand operated informally or under a different structure prior to 2012, but no official documentation confirming an earlier founding has been identified.

Products & Platforms

Mazooma Interactive Games’ core offering was a game integration capability that enabled land-based casino games to be adapted for online play. This included a Game Integration Platform – a technical framework allowing operators to port legacy land-based slot and video poker titles into browser and mobile environments. The company also produced Video Poker Devices (hardware and software for electronic video poker terminals and their online equivalents), Slot Machines (traditional and digital slot content including reel-based and video slot formats), and Casino Software (back-end systems for game management, compliance, and player account functionality). The company’s technology was designed to work within regulated markets, supporting operators in the UK and select international jurisdictions.

Acquisition & Dissolution

In 2019, Greentube (part of the NOVOMATIC Group) announced the acquisition of Mazooma Interactive Games. The deal was intended to streamline interactive units across the Group and create a new subsidiary, Greentube UK Ltd. Under the acquisition, Mazooma’s former customer base gained local access to the entire NOVOMATIC portfolio as well as Greentube’s products and services. The company’s game build and design capabilities were retained within Greentube UK. Following the acquisition, the original Mazooma Interactive Games entity became inactive and was ultimately dissolved. Its registered office was listed as Astra House, 1 Kingsway, Bridgend Industrial Estate, Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan, CF31 3RY. As of the latest Companies House records, the company’s status is “Dissolved”.

Current Status

Mazooma Interactive Games no longer operates as an independent entity. Its functions were absorbed into Greentube UK Ltd., which continues to serve the UK market under the NOVOMATIC umbrella. No separate website or current leadership for the original MIG company is publicly available; the domain mazooma.co.uk is no longer active.
