BETBY reported a 42.7% YoY GGR increase for H1 2025, driven by a 47% rise in active players and strong World Cup and esports performance, with plans to expand further into predictions in H2.
Sportsbook technology provider BETBY has posted strong first-half results for 2025, with Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) climbing 42.7% year-on-year during the period. The Malta-based firm attributed the growth to a 47% surge in active players across its operator network and a 21.2% increase in total bets handled.
As widely anticipated, the FIFA World Cup provided a significant lift in the final three weeks of June, driving heavy betting volumes across BETBY's partner portfolio. The company works with operators spanning Latin America, Europe and Asia, including Fun88, SABA Sports, Broadway Platform and Weebet.
Esports continued to be a standout vertical for BETBY. Its BETBY Games division reported a 28% YoY increase in GGR, supported by a 46% rise in active players and a 14.8% uptick in bets placed. The firm also pointed to “sustained growth” from both new and existing partner relationships as a key driver of the overall performance.
Looking ahead to the second half of 2025, BETBY is evaluating further expansion into predictions – a segment it entered during Q2 amid rising global demand. CEO Leonid Pertsovskiy noted the company’s focus on “product innovation and helping our partners grow,” while acknowledging that regulatory uncertainties, particularly the ongoing federal-versus-state conflicts in the US, remain a factor. However, he added that Gibraltar’s recent regulatory framework signals growing acceptance of the sector.
“The launch of products such as BETBY Predictions and features like Stories, alongside the continued evolution of BETBY Games, demonstrate our commitment to delivering solutions and technology that create measurable value for operators,” Pertsovskiy said.
