BongoBongo reports higher player activity and engagement after expanding its use of QTech Games' aggregation platform in Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, and Uganda, with lightweight content and localized promotions key to the uplift.
BongoBongo has strengthened its collaboration with QTech Games, reporting a surge in player activity after deploying the supplier's aggregation platform across several African nations. The operator noted higher turnover, active player counts, and engagement in Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya and Uganda, with a notable spike during the recent FIFA World Cup.
Through the expanded deal, BongoBongo has rolled out content from multiple studios accessible via QTech's platform. Crash titles, particularly SmartSoft Gaming's JetX, have emerged as top performers. Promotional mechanics such as Free Spins and Slot of the Week campaigns were introduced through QTech Promotions, designed to boost retention. The offering also now includes lightweight games from TaDa Gaming, tailored for regions where device specs, network speeds, and mobile data costs can limit gameplay.
The partnership strategy combines content aggregation with localized promotional tools and recommendation engines aimed at improving player engagement and loyalty across diverse markets. According to BongoBongo, its user base in these regions shows a clear preference for mobile-first, short-session experiences—especially crash games and instant-win formats. Tournaments, leaderboards, and other community-driven features are also gaining traction.
For QTech, the agreement expands the footprint of its aggregation platform in African iGaming. The supplier is investing heavily in data analytics and business intelligence to refine content recommendations and tailor products to local demands. "Being local is vital," said Philip Doftvik, CEO of QTech. Jacopo Stefanetti, Head of Promotions at QTech, added: "Successful promotions are never just about rewarding players." He stressed that combining regional insights with data-backed promotional strategies helps operators drive sustainable growth.
