FeedConstruct nets worldwide Malta Premier League streaming and data rights

2026-08-07

FeedConstruct has secured exclusive global streaming rights to Malta Premier League matches, with official data rights becoming exclusive after the first year. The Armenia-based provider's deal expands its European football portfolio ahead of the league's new season.

Deal at a glance

FeedConstruct has added the Malta Premier League to its portfolio, securing exclusive worldwide video streaming rights for every match in the 12-team Maltese top flight. The Armenia-based sports data provider will also distribute official match data on a non-exclusive basis at launch, with those rights becoming fully exclusive after the first year of the agreement.

The deal covers the league's global betting rights and will run through FeedConstruct's low-latency distribution pipeline, giving sportsbook operators a steady stream of live video and official data across the season. The Maltese competition operates under a split-phase format, producing a regular calendar of fixtures built around championship and relegation battles.

Context and momentum

Maltese football has been drawing a larger audience, with the 2025 Malta Premier League Final between Ħamrun Spartans and Birkirkara reaching a record audience of more than 87,000. That interest has not yet translated into continental participation this season, however: Floriana, Ħamrun, Marsaxlokk and Valletta were all eliminated during UEFA Conference League qualifying, and Floriana had previously lost to Shamrock Rovers in the Champions League first qualifying round. The new domestic campaign is scheduled to begin next weekend.

For FeedConstruct, the announcement caps a busy stretch that has included football rights in Wales, Ukraine and Nicaragua, along with recent basketball deals across Asia and South America. The Malta Premier League agreement deepens its European rights holdings and adds another official content source for its global network.

FeedConstruct CEO Narek Harutyunyan called the partnership "another major step forward" for the company's European portfolio, emphasising that only "verified, official match data" would be sent to its global network. Malta Premier League CEO Alan Abela said the league was "delighted" to strengthen its existing relationship with the wider group and described the collaboration as "another important milestone" for the competition.

The deal also illustrates how a tier-two European league can fill gaps in the sportsbook calendar with verified data rather than unofficial feeds, a distinction that is becoming more important as regulators tighten integrity requirements.
