IGT Digital outlines its H2 2026 strategy, focusing on accelerated content production, proven IP expansions, and a balanced approach to land-based and digital-first games to meet rising operator demand. CEO Gil Rotem highlights new titles and enhanced studio capabilities as key drivers for growth.
As the second half of 2026 begins, IGT’s digital division is preparing for a new growth phase. With competition rising across both US and global markets, the supplier has retooled its operations to meet increasing operator demand for fresh, high-quality content. CEO of Digital Gil Rotem outlined the company’s roadmap, which centres on scaling production, leveraging proven IP, and delivering stronger omnichannel experiences.
H2 Priorities and Operational Shifts
“Operators are demanding fresh, new content at a rate we haven’t seen before,” Rotem said. To keep pace, IGT spent the first half of 2026 rethinking workflows and expanding its studio network. The result, according to Rotem, is a pipeline that balances faster release cadences with the quality and performance that define the IGT brand. The company’s H2 focus is squarely on execution, scale, and measurable value for operators.
Rotem noted that barriers to entry for new game studios are falling, flooding the market with content. IGT’s response has been to invest in talent and studios, enabling the company to scale up production while maintaining standards. “We’ve adapted our approach to increase our speed and better anticipate market opportunities, rather than simply respond to them,” he explained.
Content Pipeline and Operator Needs
Operators, Rotem said, are seeking a steady stream of high-quality games, not just volume. Demand is strong for faster iterations of proven mechanics, new IP, and bespoke or exclusive content. Land-based conversions remain top performers, and IGT is doubling down on that channel with new additions to families such as Cash Eruption, Money Gong, Rising Rockets, Mystery of the Lamp, Wheel of Fortune and Tiger & Dragon.
For the rest of the year, the roadmap includes titles like Mystery of the Lamp Desert Veil, Treasure Blast Fleet, Tiger & Dragon Super Arrow, and Whitney Houston I Wanna Dance with Somebody. Rotem emphasised that these games build on demonstrated player engagement, giving operators confidence in their performance. Promotions powered by IGT’s engagement platform will also support these launches to boost GGR and repeat play.
Balancing Land-Based and Digital-First Content
IGT is not prioritizing one content vertical over the other. “We see it as a balanced strategy grounded in what performs for our customers,” Rotem said. Land-based conversions continue to deliver strong long-term revenue, while the recent studio enhancements allow IGT to ramp up both conversion volume and original online-first experiences. The goal is to maximise engagement across both player segments—those who favour familiar land-based titles and those seeking innovative digital-first games.
Wheel of Fortune at 30
The Wheel of Fortune brand celebrates its 30th anniversary in gaming this year. IGT plans to extend its momentum with new digital experiences, deeper omnichannel integration, and formats aimed at younger audiences. Rotem sees “significant opportunities to extend Wheel of Fortune’s reach through digital innovation,” ensuring the franchise remains relevant for the next generation of players.
Looking Ahead
“IGT is entering a defining period for its digital business,” Rotem stated. With a foundation of content, talent, technology, and scale, the supplier aims to help operators compete in a fast-moving market. The core mission is straightforward: deliver proven content, meaningful innovation, and connected player experiences that generate measurable results.
