Novoline and Löwen Entertainment have renewed their main sponsorship of 1. FC Kaiserslautern through the 2027/28 season, keeping the brand on the club's shirts. The announcement follows recent gaming-related football deals involving Tipico Casino and Holstein Kiel, as well as a settlement between Stuttgart and Winamax.
Novoline will remain on the front of 1. FC Kaiserslautern's shirts through the 2027/28 season, following a renewed main sponsorship agreement between Löwen Entertainment and the German club. The brand's jersey placement, which began at the start of the current campaign, is now set to continue for several more years.
Novoline is the gaming brand of Löwen Entertainment, a company within the Novomatic Group.
1. FC Kaiserslautern managing director Marc Strauß said the relationship is about more than sponsorship, pointing to shared regional roots and a common passion for community and entertainment. Oliver Bagus, managing director of gaming technology at Löwen Entertainment, similarly described the tie-up as surpassing a typical commercial involvement, saying "Our partnership with FCK is much more than a sponsorship."
Löwen Entertainment became Kaiserslautern's main sponsor in 2024, having previously served as an exclusive partner. During that earlier phase, the Novoline logo appeared on the team's jersey sleeve for DFB-Pokal matches.
The renewal is the latest in a series of recent German football sponsorships involving gaming operators. Tipico Casino has signed on as an official partner of second-division Holstein Kiel, shortly after introducing Schleswig-Holstein's first fully regulated online casino. Both sides said the partnership emphasises regional connections and responsible gambling.
Separately, Stuttgart and former shirt sponsor Winamax have reached a court settlement following the early end of their agreement. Winamax will pay the Bundesliga club just under €2m ($2.3m), closing out the legal claims that both parties had pursued.
