Alexander Merwald joined NOVOMATIC AG in 2012 as head of the group’s mergers & acquisitions department. He later served as Managing Director of NOVOMATIC Africa, where he led the restructuring and growth of the company’s sales and rental operations across the continent.
In 2024, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Novomatic Americas, succeeding Rick Meitzler. Merwald holds a degree in finance.
