The Alderney Gambling Control Commission has endorsed SiGMA World 2026 in Rome, citing the summit's role in fostering regulatory dialogue, responsible gaming, and international cooperation among industry stakeholders.
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has officially backed the SiGMA World 2026 summit, set to take place in Rome, Italy, from 2 to 5 November. Andrew Gellatly, the AGCC's Executive Director, expressed the commission's support in a formal letter, describing the event as a key international gathering.
According to Gellatly, the summit will draw regulators, policymakers, industry leaders and technology providers together to debate regulatory frameworks, responsible gaming, technological advances, payment systems, and market expansion. The AGCC noted that the programme is built around topics such as international cooperation, sustainable development, and the sharing of best practices.
The event is expected to host thousands of delegates, speakers and exhibitors, providing a space for cross-border networking and knowledge transfer. The AGCC's endorsement letter states that the commission "supports initiatives to promote transparent, sustainable, and properly regulated sector development."
The commission views the summit as a chance to deepen collaboration between regulators and industry stakeholders, and to encourage long-term engagement. This endorsement follows the AGCC's earlier support for SiGMA North America 2026, scheduled for Mexico City from 1 to 3 September, where similar themes around responsible gaming and regulatory dialogue were highlighted.
SiGMA World 2026 will include a conference, an exhibition, a networking programme, the SiGMA World Awards, and the SiGMA World Pitch competition. The AGCC emphasised that the event offers a platform for discussing both regulatory priorities and commercial developments as the global gaming sector continues to evolve.
