Kambi's World Cup Report 2026 shows Bet Builder wagers doubled versus 2022 and player props now feature in 65% of Bet Builder bets, with over 100 million bets processed across the tournament.
Kambi has published its World Cup Report 2026, a data-driven review of betting behavior during the 39-day, 104-match tournament. The sports betting technology provider said it processed over 100 million wagers across its partner network, with more than one million unique bet combinations placed on the final alone.
The tournament was the first World Cup fully managed by Kambi's AI-powered trading systems. According to the company, that allowed partners to cope with record demand while improving product depth, margin performance and platform stability.
Bet Builder and player props
Bet Builder volumes doubled compared with the 2022 World Cup, and the bet type made up 35% of all wagers placed during the event. Player props were a major driver: 65% of Bet Builder bets included at least one player prop, up from 25% four years earlier.
New bettors and esoccer
The report also shows strong acquisition during the tournament, with nearly one in four bettors placing their first wager on the Kambi network. In addition, esoccer ranked among the top five sports on the platform, with traffic spiking during the final's extended halftime show.
Oliver Lamb, SVP of Trading at Kambi, attributed the performance to the company's AI trading capabilities. "The record-breaking engagement and performance Kambi delivered with our partners clearly demonstrated the possibilities unlocked by Kambi's AI-trading capabilities," he said. He added that growth in Bet Builder turnover, both pre-match and live, and rising engagement with props such as player shots on target point to trends that will continue to shape the sports betting landscape.
