Nevada June Gaming Revenue Tops $1.3bn as Strip Slips, Washoe Surges

Overall Performance

Nevada’s gaming industry generated just over $1.3bn in gross revenue for June 2026, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). That marks a modest 0.8% year-on-year increase, held back by a decline on the Las Vegas Strip that analysts attribute to the World Cup pulling potential visitors to other US host cities.

Slot and Table Game Results

Slot machine revenue rose 2.6% to $923.1m, with multi-denomination units contributing $742.3m — an increase of 9.1%. Table game revenue, however, slipped 2.8% to $420.7m, dragged down by baccarat which fell 21.3% to $102.1m.

Regional Breakdown

Clark County, which encompasses Las Vegas, saw total revenue drop 0.7% to $1.2bn. The Las Vegas Strip experienced a 1.4% decline to $754.7m, likely as some gamblers opted to travel to World Cup match destinations elsewhere in the US. Downtown Las Vegas bucked the trend, posting a 2.6% gain to $75.5m, while North Las Vegas rose 3.4% to $24.7m. Boulder Strip ($89m, +1.9%) and Mesquite ($14.6m, +2.7%) also grew. Laughlin fell 4% to $38.4m, and the balance of country (rural areas) dipped 0.6% to $154m.

Washoe County delivered a standout performance, up 17.6% to $107.6m, led by Reno ($81.6m, +20.3%). Sparks climbed 16.2% to $15.9m, while North Lake Tahoe declined 5.9% to $2.1m. South Lake Tahoe and Carson Valley rose 7.5% and 3.6%, respectively. Elko County fell 1.8% to $32.3m.

Sports Betting

Mobile sports wagering revenue hit $33.7m, a 12.7% increase. Baseball remains the top sport, generating $17.9m despite an 18.4% year-over-year drop. A broader "other" category — likely including soccer wagers tied to the World Cup — surged 48.5% to $18.9m.

Fiscal Year 2025/2026

For the full fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, Nevada’s total gaming revenue rose 2.6% to $16bn. The Las Vegas Strip contributed $9bn, up 2%.

Regulatory Update

Separately, the NGCB secured a legal settlement with prediction-market operator Kalshi. Under the agreement, Kalshi will cease its prediction market activities in Nevada effective July 24 and implement a “robust, multi-source geofencing solution provided by a third-party commercial provider,” the Board stated.
